Under Construction: Part 8 A New Humanity: Ephesians 2:11-22
Sunday, June 11, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

Many of the problems that we have in our world are a result of racial strife: caste clashes, genocides, ethnic cleansing, mass migrations of refugees, race riots, and the ever-present antagonism between the police and people of color. The United States has never been entirely sure what to do about race. What is the answer? This Sunday we continue our sermon series, Under Construction, and we see what God says about unity in diversity.

Under Construction: Part 7 What You Were & What You Are: Ephesians 2:1-10
Sunday, June 4, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

The popular TV series The Walking Dead is about how to survive a zombie apocalypse. What do we do about the walking dead that are all around us? You might be one of them and not even know it!

We continue our sermon series, Under Contruction, and examine God's hopeful antidote to counteract experiencing a deathlike existence.

50:34
Under Construction: Part 6 Prayer for What You Need to Know: Ephesians 1:15-23
Sunday, May 28, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

In order to be built up and have the character of Jesus Christ, there are some things we need to know.

We continue our sermon series, and look at some essential need-to-know facts and the role of prayer in constructing identities of who God is calling us to be.

49:49
Under Construction: Part 5 Sealed by the Spirit: Ephesians 1:13-14
Sunday, May 21, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

In constructing our identity, we have looked at the roles God the Father and God the Son play. What about the Holy Spirit? He seems mysterious to most of us. What is his part in forming us?
We continue our sermon series, Under Construction and look at the often neglected work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

39:06
Motherhood and Trust Ruth 1:1-6, 19-21; 4:13-17
Sunday, May 14, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

Motherhood and trust go hand-in-hand! Motherhood is a wonderful trust that God has given to mothers, and it is essential that every mother learns to trust God with her life and children. This Sunday you can be encouraged by a biblical story of motherhood and trust.

51:28
Under Construction: Part 4 Redeemed by the Son: Ephesians 1:7-12
Sunday, May 7, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

We know that Jesus died on the cross, but what all did that accomplish and how does his work of redemption help practically build you up into the person God is calling you to be?

This Sunday we continue our sermon series called, Under Construction. As part of the foundation of constructing your identity, we look at the difference of redemption.

45:45
Under Construction: Part 3 Chosen by the Father: Ephesians 1:3-6
Sunday, April 30, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

As children, we always wanted to be chosen for the sports team, drama part, or class project. No one ever wants to be unchosen! We never outgrow this.

We continue our sermon series called, Under Contruction. As part of the foundation of constructing your identity, we talk about how God has chosen you.

44:30
Under Construction: Part 2 Laying the Foundation: Ephesians 1:1-3
Sunday, April 23, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

In our growing community, we are all familiar with construction zones. They are not pretty, convenient, or comfortable and may even be dangerous, but construction is also absolutely necessary for growth.

In a similar way, no matter how much it may seem like we have it all together, each of us is incomplete, needing growth and maturity on some level. All of us are under construction.

This sermon series called, Under Construction, is about how God wants to meet you where you are and construct you into the more complete person he is calling you to be.

35:49
Under Construction: Part 1 Easter 2017: Ephesians 1:1, 18-20; 4:8-15
Sunday, April 16, 2017 :: Brian Lightsey

Today we kick off a new series called Under Construction. All of us are under construction. We will explore how God meets us where we are and constructs us into more complete people he is calling us to be.
