Disaster Relief

 disaster relief

Life Church is committed to helping people who need to experience God's love and hope in times of small and large-scale disaster. Because of that we organize relief efforts, and also work with a local agency, Austin Disaster Relief Network(ADRN), to provide donations, resources, volunteers, and prayers.

Current Disaster Relief Focus:

Have you heard about the disaster currently happening in the Beaumont, TX area? Because Imelda was not a hurricane, media coverage has been limited leaving many in the dark about the scale of Imelda’s impact. Families are displaced, overwhelmed and hurting.

More than 9,000 homes have been affected and the number continues to grow! Two of the hardest-hit areas include the Greater Beaumont area and Hankamer, TX. Many of these families are still trying to recover from Hurricane Harvey and those that have recovered, are now having to start the process all over.

Current Disaster Relief Opportunities:

  • Pray: James 5:16 "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." Use this list to guide you and your family in prayer.
  • Give: Click here to make an online donation.
  • Get Trained with ADRN: Life Church will be hosting several ADRN training opportunities in the near future to help prepare you to be the hands and feet of Jesus to households experiencing disaster. Use the email below to learn more and sign up.
  • Volunteer Directly with ADRN: https://adrn.org/disaster-relief/volunteer/
  • Go on a relief trip with Life Church: Life Church will have a team going to help with clean up (muck out) efforts on October 24-26 (overnight stay is optional). We will be planning another trip the following week and there is a potential for additional opportunities in the future. To inquire about future trips and to RSVP please use the email below:
